Default hooks for plastic baits

Can anyone on the bassholes tell me if they have a formula or chart for plastic baits. Just bought a lot of hooks various sizes from 1/0 to 4/0. What size do you use for various palstic baits from worms to frogs, the whole gambit.Thank You.

dont have a chart muskyking. line size varies for whatever rig you are fishing. water clarity, stumps, pads, zebra mussels etc. i use 8-12# worming, 20-50# braid for froggin hook size depends on the size of the bait. hope this helps

I use a hook that looks right to me on the bait. I only use 3/0 to 5/0 hooks. I use a 3/0 on 3 1/2" tubes and a 5/0 on 5" senkos if that is any help.

I typically use from 2/0 to 5/0...look at the bait, and use the hook that matches up best. I have a tendency to go a little big bigger when I am using an EWG hook versus a offset shank worm hook. That allows me to get the business end of the hook a tad bit further back on the bait to get a hold of them short hitters when using EWG.

I think you'll find yourself using the 3/0 and 4/0 the most out of what you said you got. What style hooks are they? EWG or offset shank worm hooks?

They are mostly ewg hooks, but I do have some straight shank hooks that I thought I could use for the skinny worms. The bigger egw hooks I thought I would use on frogs and tubes

I use EWG hooks. Pretty much 3/0 and 4/0. I use 3/0 for smaller baits like under 6" and 4/0 for over 6".

I use 3/0 to 5/0 hooks on my plastics Brands I use are Owner and Gammy's with some Moaners thrown in also. I match em up by how they look next to the bait so I get Max Penetration when they bite, Hope this helps ya.

I probably use Gammy EWG superline 98% of the time. I basically use 3/0 and 5/0.

3/0 for ' senko ' style , ' trick worms ', 3.75" craws and ' horny toads.

5/0 for longer worms and flukes.

I use the Gammy EWG superline in 3/0, 4/0, 5/0.The 5/0 are for frogs and bigger plastics. I'll even use a Gammy fenisse hook in 1/0 or 2/0 weedless. It's been mostly the 3/0 and 4/0s for me.

Like the others have said. I also use 3/0-5/0 SuperlineEWG Gammy's. Just all around great hooks for a lot of applications. Use 3/0 for beavers and other types of smaller plastics and as my plastics get bigger so do the hooks.
