What oil do you use as the base for your scents?

Thank you all very much for your help with this. Bill I will pass on the oysters, mostly because I am allergic to shell fish. Which is quite a bummer because I love me some shellfish. I believe that the peanut oil is the ticket for me. Now to experiment with some flavors. I like the idea of the ultra-strong scent mixed with petroleum jelly. Once i get the scent down i may do just that.

I did some searching around and found some forums about guys that make there own scents. So I decided to give it a try. I used olive oil as my base,got a few fresh cloves of garlic and cut them up into smaller pieces. I pour about a cup of olive oil in a jar and then add the garlic cloves,let it sit for a few days and now I have a super strong smelling garlic oil that I can add to my bags of freshly made plastics or spray directly on them. I also read somewhere where a guy uses vaseline, so I tried that and that has worked out great. I will never buy another store bought scent. I have been experimenting with other scents like coffee and anise. The coffee I just barely made so I will know in a few days.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet but cod liver oil works well also
