Double "R" Guide Service - Falcon Lake Report
Falcon Fishing Report
Presently Falcon is 34-1/2’ low and holding steady. With the last few cool fronts that Zapata has had, the water temperature in the mornings are ranging from 63° – 65°. Right now Falcon is fishing somewhat tough, as you are ranging between 6 – 10 bites a day, which is not the Falcon that most folks know. But even though you may get this few of bites, you are still capable of catching fish between the 4# – 6# range.
Patience is the game right now when throwing your crankbaits, texas rigging, or carolina rigging while out on the water. So, if you do have that patience that it takes to fish right now, you might just luck out and hook into a good fish like my client did on my last trip, which weighed in at 9.6#.
Now if the rest of November stays cool and the air temperatures continue cooling, these old “ornery” fish on Falcon should really be getting active.
In the future, if you are looking for a guide on Falcon Lake, we will be glad to help you out, just give us a call……
