Fishing Seminars Return to Atlantic City
The Atlantic City Boat Show cruises into the Atlantic City Convention Center this week from February 1-5, 2012 - and back by popular demand are a series of first-rate fishing seminars presented by noted New Jersey fishermen.
"It's just like the old days," said Jim Hutchinson, Jr., managing director of the Recreational Fishing Alliance (RFA) and this year's Fishing University seminar coordinator. "The how-to fishing seminars in Atlantic City were always one of the top attractions at the AC Boat Show, and RFA is happy to be involved in producing this year's line-up of speakers."
RFA's Fishing University will kick off on Wednesday, February 1 at 3 p.m. with seminar programs scheduled everyday through Sunday. "Saturday should be another big day just like in years prior in that we have some prizes to raffle off to seminar attendees, including a Lowrance Elite5 DSI combo GPS/Fishfinder," Hutchinson said, adding "RFA members should make sure to bring along their active membership card for an extra chance or two at winning this and other items this weekend."
On Thursday night at 6 p.m. following the seminars on bunker busting spring stripers and Jersey winter cod fishing, an exclusive New Jersey Regulatory Update and RFA Public Forum is planned in the seminar area. Folks looking for more information about the upcoming national rally to Keep Fishermen Fishing set for March 21, 2012 in Washington DC can get more details on Thursday night with RFA executive director Jim Donofrio.
The AC Boat Show kicks off Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. and runs through 8 p.m. through Friday. Saturday hours are 10 to 8, and Sunday's show time is from 10 to 5. For the full RFA Fishing University seminar line-up and ticket information, visit www.acboatshow.com
