Good article Mark, buzzbaits are one of my favorite lures in the fall. I use a trailor hook 100% of the time, even around cover, it has caught me fish. By changing the cup in the blades you can run the bait faster or slower. By bending the blade down you can make it clack against the main wire making more noise, at times it helps. I put a Z bend in the wire right in front of the head, it helps it run true and lowers the head in the water helping with more hookups. Always make sure thwe bait is tuned correctly, wire not bent, top wire parallel with the bottom and knot tied in the loop where it belongs. If you bend the top wire one way or the other you can make it bump cover on the way by, such as dock posts, this will help attract more fish.
