Default Old 2 Man Boat

My boys and I found this old 2 man bass boat out in the woods last weekend. I suppose the high water left it there last year, since its a long way away from any of the lakes. Looks like its been there awhile, but as far as we cant tell its not damaged. As soon as we can get back in there to it, were going to bring it out and try to resurrect it. It will make a fine fishing boat for the small lakes down on our hunting lease. I have a buddy who has the two swivel seats that go in this style boat, so it just needs to be cleaned up, checked for damage and leaks and I think it will get a good camo paint job then it will be ready to fish. Well it will if we can get it out without tearing it up, its in a really thick area, thats going to be hard to get to, well have to carry it out, no way to get the wheeler into where it is, but were going to give it a try.

Mark they are not very heavy ,so it shouldnt be a problem. Before cleaning it I would check to see if its been reported as being missing.

What a coincidence !
I found this tied up to a dock.
someone must have left it. I doesn't look like it needs any work.

Im not sure if these boats were filled with foam or not. If it has holes in it, I figure I can just reglass the bottom after refilling it with foam if needed. Its going to make a sweet fishing boat for me and my grandson.

We got to figuring today and its been two years since the water was high enough to leave it were we found it, so it has to have been sitting here since at least March of 2010. I hope once we roll it over, its not torn up so bad it cant be repaired. It didnt seem to have any damage on the top side and the plastic felt solid.

even if it did not originally have foam, I would still put some in and seal it up. Looks like a great find!!

I have the same boat it's a Basshunter.Yes it is foam filled on the sides (pontoons) kinda like.I paid $550 for mine back in 98.I would make sure it wasn't stolen and placed in the woods to be retrieved later. If it has no registration # apply for lost title.Go to www.Basshunter.com and find accessories you need to fix it up.Google Plastaid for a plastic repair kit that really works if you find any leaks.
