Mold Options?

Based on doing quite a bit of reading, seems like there are basically 3 options for making your own molds, unless you have a CNC machine:
POP
Fiberglass Resin
RTV

What are the advantages/disadvantages to each of these?

It seems RTV makes the smoothest mold as long as you are sure to not get any air bubbles in it. Pop and fiberglass are the most economical.

I have some RTVs that i have had since the early 90s.

Ive yet to make any of my own molds. I did buy an RTV kit from LureCraft.com though Hoping to finish my prototype one day and make the mold.

I've made a couple of silicone molds. They are ok but not really good. I use the Bondo resin to make my molds. I have a lot more experience with it.

It seems that you need to some finishing & sealing work on POP molds, are the Bondo resin molds pretty much good to go when you clean up top edges? No sealing or anything? Baits come out shiny?

Yes. Glue the baits down in a container, spray everything with cooking oil, mix up and pour on the Bondo, go away for several hours. Wala you have a mold.

POP mold do need drying and sealing. RTV is more expensive then resin. The resin comes out smooth and clean if you glue the masters down good for a decent price. You can also hit the master with a quick coat of wd40 for easy release. Resin molds hold up better then POP. I lean to the resin molds over a POP mold now for making your own mold.

what is off gas odor like on the resin? Something that can be done in basement and not stink up house or should it be done in garage?
