Regrinds for sale

Most you know that we brought the production of our baits in house this year. During the injection process there is some waste that happens. The baits are injected and they are connected to a stringer that is close to 24 inches long. We reuse about 25% of these stringers (they are called regrinds because we have to run them through a grinder so our machine can reuse them). The rest we sell to many different places for a variety of uses. These stringers/regrinds already have the color, glitter and scent in them. With the price of plastic going up almost monthly, we have decided to offer these regrinds to The Bassholes at a great price. All you have to do it heat the regrinds up just like you normally do with the liquid plastic.

We have priced the regrinds at $2.50 per pound. In the liquid state, 8 pounds equals 1 gallon. One pound will fit in a Priority Mail Flat Rate envelope ($4.95). Five pounds will fit in a medium flat rate box ($10.70). That is $20.00 per gallon which is a huge savings and you don't have to add glitter.

We also have mixed plastic regrinds which mostly contains stringers of laminated colors. We sell these for .50 cents per pound.

Current available colors are:
Watermelon Red
Green Pumpkin
GreenPumpkin Red
Plum
Blue Fleck
Redbug
Dirt
Watermelon Candy

This list will change weekly depending on our production schedule. If interested please give us a call at 972-899-2635 or e-mail Andrea at [email protected].

Re: Regrinds for sale

I do not pour my own baits, but I do have a question. Is the plastic used in "Senko" type baits any heavier than that used in regular plastic worms?

Re: Regrinds for sale

The plastic is the same but a Senko has a lot of salt added. Salt is what makes a bait sink. You can control the sink rate by the amount of salt used.

it is also used as a filler by alot of the bigger companies because it is cheaper than plastisol!!

Thanks to everyone that has purchased these regrinds. I have receive the same question several times so I thought I would answer it here. The regrinds we are selling isn't a one time thing. We are injecting baits every day so we will always have these available. From Friday afternoon until Sunday night we went through a 55 gallon barrel so we have plenty of the regrinds in stock. Maybe by the time November rolls around, we will get caught up.....

Can the regrinds be microwave melted? If I call do I just ask what color regrinds you have currently available?

Yes, they can be microwaved. I would add just a little liquid plastic to the regrinds to help the melting process. We usually always have the solid colors in stock that we inject. They are:

Watermelon Red
Green Pumpkin
Green Pumpkin Red
Plum
Blue Fleck
Redbug
Dirt

There will be more colors coming in the next couple of months.
