Well i went fishing at lake hobart up in the mountains in nevada it is a beautful lake and takes about a 20 minute hike once you get up the hills to where the trail is. It is about a 1/2 a mile hike.
Lake hobart is talked about alot but very few people know how to get up there and most of the time when you go up you are the only one up there.
The lake regulations are single barbless hooks only. I went up with a couple of older guys in there 50's and man oh man were they funny and had lots of stories to tell. Well once we got up there i caught a couple little brookies and than i caught this nice tiger trout.
Tiger trout are extremely rare here and this was my first one i ever caught and it was on a wooly bugger fly with the fly rod joe b on thebassholes gave me. (thanks again joe) After that i caught a couple nice brookies than landed this nice one.
It was a extremely nice day and was nice to be able to relax and be in gods country for a little bit. We caught a few more trout than headed down the hill and on the way down i took a quick picture of carson city from the hills.
