Default ProCull Conservation Clip Culling System

So I just ordered these ProCull Conservation Clips from TW. They are pricy but claim to be the best culling system for both conservation and tournament use. They don't come unclipped and you don't poke any holes in the fish. That was enough for me to bite the bullet and fork over just above $30 for them. Pricy but I like the system. Just wanted to post it up here to let you guys know about them.

Don't make the same mistake I did though. I forgot to click on the TW logo on The Bassholes to make my purchase. This gives you the same price as going directly to TW but gives a commission to The Bassholes to help keep the site up and running.

They still go through the gill. I've been working on a patent for a culling system for the past year. Hopefully it gets approved soon.

Yeah goes through the gill but its all a soft material that doesn't harm the fish. I assume that they actually did some research before they just slapped "Conservation" in the product name. Either way, I know it will work better than poking a hole in the fishes mouth but I hope i'm not doing the same harm by going through the gill. One of the reviews from a tournament fisherman who has used them gave it a lot of praise.

Those look really good. You'll have to keep us updated on how they work. I use the Cull Rite plastic clips because I don't believe in poking a culling clip in the bass's mouth either.

Any time you run a wire passed the gill racker there is a chance of gill damage. The wire is coated to prevent abrasion damage, but...when you lift the bass the wire can damage the gills if it is between the rackers.
Good looking system, just use care when sliding the cable between the gill plate and out the mouth and aviod getting between rackers. A small hole punched in the mouth membrane may be less intrusive then a cable in the gill rackers.

good point tom. i have experienced the very same thing over the years. a small punch hole will do less harms than something touching the gills.

Do they get twisted up in the live well when you have a sack full of smallies.. I have seen a 5 fish limit turned into 4 barely live fish and 1 dead one because of a system that looked similar and have a coated wire.. from bps. I hate dead fish!
