Default Broke a favorite rod? Here's a way to fix it.

full arch when flexed:

1. align blanks one on top of the other and use super glue. Make sure the guides of the end blank are beneath the main blank the reel is attached to.
2. zip tie over the ends that were cut (2 zips as seen in photo)
3. electric tape in between the zip ties

Rod was a Pleuger I found in a garbage can at a lake I fish. There were no splits in the ends of the blank, though another angler used a brass tube if there had been as well as super gluing the splits.

It casts great and is only shorter by 2". I did the same think to a light action spinning rod I guillotined on my truck door and it works great casting 1/16 oz jigs.
