Striped bass, 11.5 lbs, Smith Mountain Lake.  Nice fish!

 rofl rofl rofl

Hawg and PSG- you all are correct about the flavor and close enough about the size. But, it wasn't Smith Mtn Lake. Same watershed, but wrong lake. Neener neener neener!

Thanks for trying... no limit to guesses, by the way  Wink

Cheri!!! Sorry, Snazzypants, but that there fish isn't a white bass. Same family tree, but meaner and with a prison record. Gaston is a good guess, but about 175 miles too far from the scene of the crime.

Nope and nope. Sad

Leesville is a great striper lake, but not the one. The lake does exist, I promise. LMAO Without giving too much away, I once found a stone knife, mule shoe and harness buckle there back when we had drought conditions a few years ago.

Hmmm, the obvious choices are taken away.  Deep Creek is too far north and I don't believe has any stripers.  So, perhaps Chesdin Reservoir?  At least that is my latest SWAG!
