Late spring early summer I picked up a 12' Alumacraft jon boat. In the condition it was in the first picture. It had a nice big sticker on the middle seat. Which is how I found out about this place. The boat functioned great but just felt dingy and dirty when you were out on it.
So the friday before thanksgiving a buddy and I were talking about rebuilding it. Before we knew it. We were outside under a flood light in rain pulling all of the existing boat apart. Unfortunately we didn't get any photos before we started.
The next day I was able to talk my neighbor into letting me use his garage. Photo of it stripped, cut up, and cleaned.

Looks great.
If you run that as a electric only ,I run a Bio-Boat contest in the summer and you might want to jump in on it.

You really did a great job on the way you laid that design out. That really is impressive. Way to go.

Did you put a livewell in the seats or just storage??

Thanks for the great responces so far.

When I got the boat the rear seat was all ready cut out for a 20 gal Toho-rig livewell. Also it had a very high front platform from on top of the middle seat to the front. Covered in some cheap rubber mat with a splitting seam. Underneath the platform was over 16' of 2x4 not really sure how he got that much framing under there, but it was sturdy. Wish I had pictures.

What i made for the front frame is 1x1x1/8 aluminum box tubing, and .053" 5058 aluminum plate bent to match the side of the boat. Then I fully TIG welded then installed in boat with rivets.

Guppy Catcher more than likely it will stay all electric. In new jersey you are limited to 9.9 gas and there is very few places were they are allowed. But the hot rodder in me really wants to put at least a 15hp on it just for fun.
