I finally purchased a silvermax combo last month. The rod snapped after 2 casts so i just put the reel on another rod. I love the way they handle and will probably get more over time. Great product

Yup Have to agree w/Mo on this! and yes if ya send your reel to Pro Reel to have it tuned it will cast like it cost ya twice as much!

Folks something else for you to consider as a starter Reel Is Lews reels they start at approx $59.00 but I would suggest the $79.99 one due to it's setting ability! I now own 3 Lews Reels! 1- $79.99 and 2 of the Higher priced ones and they are very easy to set-up and are very smooth casting! I further admidt I like them better than my Revo's as they cast better and once set up Backlashes (Professional Over Runs) at least for me are a thing of the past!( Go Figure) and they have a good selection of Left Retreive reels also!
