Sean Hoernke and Lance Vick – Team High Voltage

Benton, Ky. – As the opening round of the PAA Corporate Cup presented by OPTIMA® Batteries continues to draw nearer, one thing is becoming apparent, the event is drawing some “powerful” people to the shores of Pickwick Lake in Florence, Ala.

One obvious factor is the title partner for the event; OPTIMA® Batteries, a world class company that manufactures batteries that power the boats of many of the world’s best anglers. However, aside from the title sponsor, FLW Tour pro Brandon Coulter’s primary sponsor, National Coal will be competing, as will another company that deals in energy.

The Bassholes Remembers
printer friendly email to someone
Today is a day I shall never forget. I remember exactly where I was as I watched the first plane hit the tower. At that moment right then my entire world stood still as I sat, eyes glued to the television trying to make sense of what I had just seen. Moments later, a situation that I couldnt imagine getting worse, turned even more incredibly horrifying as I watched, live, the second plane slam into the towers. Never have I been so aware of the evil that exists in this world as I was at that moment, sitting on the edge of my seat, unsure of whether I should be screaming, crying or otherwise.

My country was attacked! The buildings I walked amongst many times as a child, were now billowing smoke. The events that I witnessed after the second plane struck, etch my mind still to this day. Couples jumping, hand in hand from 70+ stories high. People screaming and running about on the streets below. Tears and confussion everywhere a camera pointed in manhattan. A tear rolled down my cheek right along with them.

When the buildings collasped the horror magnified. "Who would do this to us?", was the thought that was front and center in my mind. "Who would do this to anyone??" And as if that wasn't enough for our hearts and minds to handle, a 3rd plane plumetted into The Pentagon and a 4th, diverted by it's brave passengers, crashed in the woods of Pennsylvania.

In a matter of moments, thousands of people had died at the hands of terrorists on American soil.

Indeed the world had changed that day and I will never forget why and how.

The Bassholes asks that everyone please take a moment out of your day to close your eyes for a moment of silent meditation in remembrance of those who lost their lives 7 years today and of the troops who have lost thier lives since them assuring that America is never attacked again.

God Bless America!
